History Catches Up With Technology

AudleySignAlexandria Networks was recently selected to install a computer network at a historic landmark in Clarke County, Virginia. Audley Farm, located in Berryville, VA is best known because of it ties with first president of the United States, George Washington.

The historic home at Audley built circa 1794 was first owned by George Washington's cousin, Warner Washington, Jr. Perhaps the most famous resident of Audley was George Washington's adopted daughter, Nelly Custis Lewis, whose friendly ghost is still said to roam the house.

Today, the 2,500-acre farm just outside of Berryville is still renowned for breeding some of the world's finest Thoroughbred horses and remains one of Clarke County's prettiest estates and historic landmarks. Owned by the von Baumbach family of Germany, the farm is managed by a staff of 17 people including the farm manager and veterinarian, Dr. Jens von Lepel.
